Adolescent Treatment

Teen Psychiatric Unit

The adolescent unit at Anchor Hospital is designed to meet the needs of teenagers dealing with a variety of mental health challenges. Daily treatment is patient-centered and tailored to the needs of the individual while incorporating support from parents, guardians, the multi-disciplinary staff at Anchor Hospital as well as other support members. Our teenage mental health services focus on safety and use a trauma-informed approach to treatment.

Additional components include:

  • S.E.L.F. Program (Safety, Emotions, Loss and Future)
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Family sessions
  • Tough Guise, a research-based and outcome-driven program addressing violence, media, bullying and the impact on a teenager’s development
  • Expressive therapies, including art and recreational therapy

Outpatient Services

Anchor Hospital does not currently offer outpatient psychiatric services or chemical dependency programs to adolescents. We often refer patients and their families to our sister hospital Crescent Pines Hospital for partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Please call 770.474.8888 for more information. Crescent Pines Hospital is located at 1000 Eagles Landing Parkway, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
