Adolescent Psychiatric Unit

The adolescent unit at Anchor Hospital is designed to meet the needs of teenagers dealing with a variety of mental health challenges. Daily treatment is patient-centered and tailored to the needs of the individual while incorporating support from parents, guardians, the multi-disciplinary staff at Anchor Hospital as well as other support members. Our teenage mental health services focus on safety and use a trauma-informed approach to treatment.

Additional components include:

  • S.E.L.F. Program (Safety, Emotions, Loss and Future)
  • Individual and group therapy
  • Family sessions
  • Expressive therapies, including art and recreational therapy
