Teen Mental Health Treatment: Why Choose Us?
If your teen is facing mental, emotional or behavioral health challenges, help is closer than you think. At Anchor Hospital, we make it easy for children (ages 14-17) to get the care they need from the comfort and privacy of home. Our virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers high-quality treatment from licensed counselors without disrupting your family’s life.
Our virtual IOP for teens is offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 5-8 p.m. We also offer a virtual IOP for adults.
We help teens build practical skills they can apply at home, school and throughout their lives. At our virtual mental health program, you’ll find:
- Family-focused care: Family involvement is a vital part of our treatment philosophy. We work closely with parents and caregivers, providing education and helping them support their child’s progress.
- Inpatient treatment for kids: Teens can transition between our inpatient and IOP programs as their needs change. Our staff understands the unique challenges kids face and offers treatment tailored to their age group.
- National accreditation: Our virtual program is offered through a Joint Commission-accredited behavioral health facility. Your child receives the same high-quality care that you’d expect from in-person treatment.
Benefits of Virtual Mental Health Treatment
Online mental health treatment offers a variety of advantages for teens and families, including:
- Convenient schedule: Our virtual evening IOP doesn’t disrupt your child’s life in the classroom. And with no traveling required, online sessions are easier on parents, too.
- Enhanced access: Online treatment is ideal for families across Georgia who don’t have mental or behavioral health treatment centers nearby.
- Interactive programming: We use guided group discussions, skill-building games and expressive therapies to help kids stay engaged and focused.
- Collaborative activities: Our virtual sessions use a group format that enables teens to build connections with their peers, practice social skills and avoid isolation.
- Easy-to-use technology: Today’s teens are comfortable with technology, so virtual care may feel more natural and less intimidating than in-person therapy.
